Dress Down Day: Wednesday June 15

We are having a dress down day tomorrow (Wednesday June 15) in support of Canadian Hearts and Hands, a Catholic non-profit organization at St. Therese Development Centre which is located just outside of Nairobi in Naivasha, Kenya. We are asking for a donation of either $2, or school supplies such as crayons and pencils. Ms. Moon, one of our teachers, will be volunteering at the Centre in Nairobi this summer.

If you would like more information on Canadian Hearts and Hands please visit their website at www.canadianheartsandhands.ca.

St. Brigid Fun Fair – Thank you

Our anual St. Brigid Fun Fair was a big success! It would not happen without hard work of many people.

Thank you to Kaye George, Laura Indrigo and Janet Kerr for your hard work, amazing organization, and sunny dispositions which lead to an AMAZING St. Brigid Fun Fair. We would also like to thank Mother Nature for co-operating this year. Ladies, We speak for everyone when we say that the evening was a hit, the kids had a blast, and we’re so thankful that you took on the job!

We’d also like to thank all the volunteers who signed up to help hand out tickets, run games and activities, and to those who donated their baking talent (Michelle Holder and Angela Laurenciano among others).

To Larisa Van Loon who managed the samosa sale for the Grade 8 Grad – thanks for letting us parents taste the yummy samosas our kids come home raving about!

to Elizabeth Rowe and Paul Indrigo – thanks for donating your equipment for popcorn and ice-cream!

I’m sure there are many others left to thank, and if you are not mentioned here, it is certainly NOT because we don’t appreciate it.

THANK YOU!

Annual Fun Fair: Volunteers needed!

Hello!

We are officially one week away from our Annual Fun Fair and we’re still short on volunteers. If you have or know of high school students who need volunteer hours this is the PERFECT opportunity to clock some in. Why not invite a friend to volunteer with you at whatever station you choose (I did) ….everything’s better with a friend!
Below are the areas we especially need your help with…

– ticket sales
– Inflatables and games
– Obstacle course
– Bathroom guards
– face painting

Also last call for donations to our navy & white sale, raffle and (new this year) Mason jar MASHUP!!! Please drop them off at the school office.

Thanks!
