Dear St. Brigid Families,
St. Brigid School has a history of Charitable works within our community. For the past two years we have participated in a Lenten Outreach of sandwich making that has seen each of our students participate in a practical way to perform charitable works for others who are less fortunate.
At our last CSPC meeting, we discussed supporting the outreach again this year.
This year we have identified two local charities who could use our help. The St. Brigid Out of the Cold Program and the Red Door Shelter.
- Our students will collect items and decorate and fill care packages for the clients of the Out of the Cold program.
- We will also collect items and deliver them to the residents of the Red Door shelter.
- Below you will see a chart that describes the items to be donated and the activity that the children will be involved with based on their Grades.
Division | Items to collect/donate | Hands on activity to be completed at school | Date to be completed |

The Red Door Shelter is also asking for donations of toiletries and baby items. (No toothpaste is needed!)
If you are able to donate items based on your child’s grade it would be greatly appreciated.
Money collected on Friday’s Volleyball and dress down day (Friday March 11, 2016) will go to purchasing t-shirts for the Out Of the Cold Program and anything else we may need to support this initiative.
Thank you all for your support of this initiative and those in need in our community.
Sincerely,
David Hogan
