It has become an annual tradition at St. Brigid to live out our Christian lives through hands on service to others. In the past our students have made care packages for people in our community who are less fortunate. We have made sandwiches that were later included in the decorated care packages and delivered to various shelters in the downtown core. This is a very powerful activity that demonstrates true Christian Action on the part of our students. In an email previously sent, is a letter directly from the people at Street Haven at the Crossroads thanking our students for their contributions at Christmas. This year we are using our Lenten Outreach to once again build care packages for the Women at ‘Street Haven at the Crossroads’ and for Dr. Simone’s International Outreach “Canadian Food for Children.’
Collections will take place during our first week back from March break and we will be building the care packages during Holy Week.
