PIZZA LUNCH IS BACK!
Thank you all for your patience as we get this new school year underway. Our first Pizza Lunch day will be on Oct. 10th. Yeah, you won’t have to make lunch after a long weekend!

We will continue to use our online ordering system Munch a Lunch to streamline the ordering process and go paperless. You can go online NOW and order your child or children pizza lunch for our first session that runs from October 10th to January 16th. Returning parents, your login from last year will still be active. The first thing the system will ask you to do is to update your child’s grade and class. Please do this and click submit. You can then click Create Order. Remember it is one child at a time and you can delete dates at the END of the process.

New parents, or those that are new to the ordering system will have to create an account.

The ordering window is open NOW until Friday October 6th, as we must provide numbers to Pizza Nova with advance notice. The ordering for the first Tuesday (Oct. 10th) will be close on Oct. 6th. If you miss this deadline you will still be able to order for future dates.

New this year, after much debate and consideration, is that the price of a slice of pizza has been raised to $2.25. This is the first increase to a slice of pizza since 2008. This increase will cover the administration and transaction costs of the online system as well as the increased cost of pizza that has risen slightly over the last nine years.

Note that your payment by credit card will be processed using Stripe rather than PayPal this year, so the payment window will look a bit different than it did last year. You will be emailed a receipt as well.

St. Brigid Spirit Wear Online Store
Check out our online store where you can purchase, t-shirts, hoodies, sweat pants and crew neck sweat shirts with the St. Brigid logo. These navy items may be worn any day at school. You can also order your custom yellow spirit/sport t-shirt with your choice of name and number. These can be worn for sports events and spirit days. The store is open now until October 12th. Then all the orders will be sent to production with delivery about 2-3 weeks after that.

Morning Meal (aka Snack Program)
The morning meal program will begin on October 10th. Every student is provided with the opportunity to eat a fruit or veggie, a grain, and a dairy product before morning recess. This healthy snack will help keep our students focused on the learning.

Volunteers
Both the Morning Meal (school run) and Pizza Lunch (parent council run) programs need volunteers. If you would like to help with both or either program please send us an email to stbrigidcspc@gmail.ca indicating your interest. We will be using Signup Genius to schedule volunteers and will send you an email with instructions on how to volunteer for the times/days that work for you.

Morning Meal needs volunteers daily from about 8:30am – 10:00am.
Pizza Lunch needs volunteers once a week on Tuesdays from about 10:45-11:45am.

Email & Email List Updating
Several years ago, the school board changed CSAC (Catholic School Advisory Council) to CSPC (Catholic School Parent Council). We are slowly making the conversion to the new acronym. We will soon start using the new email stbrigidcspc@gmail.com and migrating all our information to that account. Any incoming mail will be automatically forwarded to the new account as well.

CSPC is trying to go paperless. We would like to keep your email address and the grades your kids are in up to date. We are endeavouring to keep you updated with all the happenings at our school and reduce the amount of paper sent home.
